Thanks very much Anthony.
To you and to Adam, to all of our colleagues who are here today, I hope you know out of all year at Parliament House, the most important message today is that we want to say thank you to the generosity of Australians for giving to those who are less fortunate than themselves.
Thank you very much to all of the agencies who provide support to Australians who are desperately in need of our help over the Christmas period.
Today, to the Salvos, to the corporates who provide sponsorship – Kmart, many other organisations who give willingly to Australians who are really in need.
I’ve brought some Lego along; Sussan’s brought some Lego along as well, because I want other parents to share the joy that I have over years of having to step across Lego that’s been spread from one end of the house to the other. Even to this very day, in crates and crates that sit in my shed of Lego products, endless hours of joy, with some, you know, complication when you suffer an injury – but otherwise it’s a really good gift and many others.
Prime Minister, great to be here with you and thank you for your generosity and for your comments as well.
It’s a really important part of the Australian calendar and a good opportunity to provide support to many Australians who really deserve it.
