Nominations are now open for the 2025 Dickson Community Awards.
These awards provide an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate contributions made by members of our community – the unsung heroes!

Anyone can nominate an individual, community group or business they believe deserve recognition for their valuable service to the local community.

 

Some important information to know before you begin:

  • All nominations for 2025 must be received by 5pm, Friday 22 November 2024.
  • Only individuals (not organisations or groups) may be nominated for Citizen of the Year.
  • Individuals may not nominate themselves.
  • A nominee may be nominated by more than one person/group. Each nomination requires a new nomination form.
  • Any individual/community group/business who has won this award in the last five years is not eligible for nomination.
  • Unsuccessful nominees in previous years may be re-nominated provided a new nomination is made.
  • The nominated individual must be an Australian Citizen.
  • The nominated individual, community group or business must reside in the electorate of Dickson. You can confirm Dickson residence here.

  • Selection Process

    Following the close of nominations, the Awards Committee will score nominations based on the Selection Criteria. In the event that no nominations are received in any of the categories, the Awards Committee reserves the right to grant the award to a group, project/event or citizen of its choice. The decision of the Awards Selection Panel is final, and no additional correspondence will be entered in to.
