Expressions of Interest for Round 6 of the Stronger Communities Programme is now open.
Grants are available for small capital projects that aim to encourage and increase community participation across our local area. Previous rounds here in Dickson were very successful with a wide variety of projects completed. These grants were able to assist many organisations to undertake equipment and facilities upgrades.
Round 6 of the program will continue to support Australia’s economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. For this special round, grant funding will be up to 100 per cent of eligible project costs, except for local governing bodies which can apply for up to 50 per cent.
Eligible organisations are invited to apply for grants between $2,500 and $20,000.
The program has a two stage application process as follows:
- Complete and return the Expression of Interest Form to peter.dutton.mp@aph.gov.au before close of business on Wednesday 17 February 2021.
- Following a panel process, a number of organisations will then be invited to submit a full application for the funding round through an online portal.
A local consultation committee comprised of representatives from the local community has been established as the panel to review each Expression of Interest application.
Please note that ‘in kind’ expenditure is not eligible expenditure for this special round.
