Members of the Pine Rivers Bowls Club will benefit from a revamp which will enhance their playing surface and facilities.
Federal Member for Dickson Peter Dutton announced today that a re-elected Morrison Government will provide $310,000 for upgrades at the club.
“Local sporting clubs are often at the heart of our communities and Club Pine Rivers with 60,000 members connects with many, but it grew from and still revolves around the bowls club,” Mr Dutton said.
“This funding will upgrade lighting over the bowling areas to LED and will allow replacement of the bowls carpet. It will keep the bowling facilities to the best possible standards.
“The Morrison Government wants to support Australians get involved in active sporting activities and involved in their community. It helps keep us healthy and happy.
“Sporting clubs are so important in building stronger communities, keeping their facilities up-to-date supports that process.
“The Morrison Government is building a stronger economy which means we can invest in projects such as this for the betterment of the community,” Mr Dutton said.
