The Hills District PCYC will be able to significantly upgrade their community facilities, thanks to a Coalition Government grant.
The $450,000 federal commitment will ensure the overhaul and extension of the existing facility can go ahead. The project will be delivered through the Community Development Grants Program.
As part of the upgrades, the aged outdoor seating area will be updated and the rear of the facility extended and transformed to create a modern space for the community to enjoy.
Federal Member for Dickson Peter Dutton said this was an important announcement that would allow the PCYC staff to continue their vital work in the local community.
“The Hills District PCYC is an important local institution, supporting young people and their families in our community.
“I am really pleased to have secured this funding that will allow for the extension of the existing facilities.
“The Coalition is committed to ensuring local communities prosper and grow by delivering important projects just like this one, right here in The Hills District,” Mr Dutton said.
