Samford 100 Year Celebration

Samford and the wider community are invited to join in the celebrations as Samford marks a milestone in 2018 – 100 years of the true beginning of Samford as a village.

The free community event will include stage entertainment, makers markets, historical displays, military demonstrations, food trucks and rides, plus stacks of workshops and activities for the kids.

Don’t forget your picnic rug because at 7pm you can watch The Light Horseman on the big screen under the stars.

The Farmer’s Hall will also be a hive of activity with dance and theatre acts from various organisations such as colonial dancing, performances by the Samford Community Choir as well as a photographic exhibition.

For a gold coin donation the community can enter the Samford Historical Museum featuring military displays showing the evolution of service from WW1 through to today.
