BreastScreen Queensland Brisbane Northside Service have reopened and recommenced breast screening after our temporary suspension in screening services earlier this year. We understand that women may still have concerns about attending for screening at this time. To minimise the risk from COVID-19, we have implemented a range of social distancing measures, hygiene practices and increased cleaning. The wellbeing of both you and our staff are our top priority.
A breast screen is recommended for women aged 50 to 74, every two years. At BreastScreen Queensland, screening is free, takes only 30 minutes, and is performed by female health professionals.
