Dickson Seniors’ Expo

 The 2011 Dickson Seniors’ Expo will be held at the Strathpine Community Centre, Mecklem Street, Strathpine on Monday 29 August and Tuesday 30 August 2011.

 The Expo is a great opportunity for retired, or about to retire seniors, to access information on activities/services available in the community. More than 50 businesses and not-for-profit organisations are represented.

 Exhibits include:        

Seniors Social Clubs,
hobbies and fitness
Travel opportunities 
Federal, State and Local Governments Services
Advice on numerous health issues

 Entry is free, lucky door prizes to be won, interesting and informative speakers on a variety of subjects and a fashion parade for women and men. 

 Guest speakers include, The Hon Peter Dutton MP, Federal Member for Dickson, Shadow Minister for Health and Ageing, Senator Concetta Fierravanti-Wells, Shadow Minister for Ageing and Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor, Cr Alan Sutherland.

 Entertainment by Chris Doyle and a Fashion Parade from Fashion on the Go and Lowes Menswear on both days.

 Complimentary sample bags, lucky door prizes and much more!

 This year a free Shuttle Bus will be running to and from the Expo every half hour from Westfield Strathpine bus stop area.

 Refreshments are available and off street parking available.

Monday  29 -   9.00am to 2.30pm
Tuesday 30 -   8.30am to 2.00pm.
