Dickson Seniors’ Expo
The Dickson Seniors’ Expo was held again this year during Seniors week in August. I started this Expo eight years ago and want to thank the committee who have worked hard to expand it and make it such a success each year. Senator Concetta Fierravanti-Wells, Shadow Minister for Ageing and Shadow Minister for Mental Health, opened the 2011 expo as keynote speaker.
The Seniors’ Expo makes an important contribution to our senior community and I trust everyone who attended found the event informative and entertaining. The Expo is a great opportunity for retired, or about to retire seniors, to access information on activities/services available in the community. More than 50 businesses and not-for-profit organisations are represented.
