Stronger Communities Programme Round 1 of Stronger Communities Programme has closed and applications submitted which will see Dickson receive approximately $150,000 to assist community ventures early in the New Year.

Round 2 will open in mid-February and applications will be called for early in the New Year. Give the office a call for further information.


Stronger Communities Programme Grants


Applications open until September 30


The Stronger Communities Programme is a new programme designed to deliver social benefits to Dickson and electorates across Australia. The Federal Government is providing $45 million over two years to fund small capital projects in local communities in each of the 150 Federal electorates.

Funding of $150 000 each year for 2 years will be available to support projects in the Dickson electorate. Local organisations are invited to apply for grants of a minimum of $5000 and a maximum of $20 000 and must match the grant in cash or in-kind on at least a dollar for dollar basis.

All interested organisations are invited to submit an expression of interest via the Project Proposal Form to the Stronger Communities Committee by September 30 2015.

Successful applicants will then be invited to submit a formal application. If you would like to provide more information, please attach this to your Proposal Form.

The process for making an application under this project is;

1.    Complete and return the Project Proposal Form before September 30 2015

2.    Successful organisations will be invited to submit a formal online application 

3.    Formal applications will be submitted by the Committee before October 30 2015

A local Committee has been established to review each Expression of Interest and to prioritise and shortlist proposals.
