A new rugby league football clubhouse built with Australian Government funding was officially opened today at Bray Park near Brisbane.
Federal Member for Dickson Peter Dutton officially opened the Pine Central Holy Spirit Rugby League Football Club’s new facility today.
“The Australian Government provided $473,000 towards this project, which is yet another example that we are delivering for Brisbane,” Mr Dutton said.
“The upgraded clubhouse now features four dressing rooms, an office, a meeting room, a first aid room and a referee’s room.
“Patrons, players and the broader community will enjoy this new facility, and the upgrade will promote health and fitness as well as boost the club’s capacity to host events.”
Assistant Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Jamie Briggs said the Australian Government had invested $350 million in similar community projects across Australia.
The Australian Government’s $473,000 investment in the project was provided under the Community Development Grants Programme.
