Today, Peter Dutton, Federal Member for Dickson and Shadow Minister for Health and Ageing, officially opened the Lawnton Country Market Medical Centre.
The practice is run by Neil Udukala who is supported by Dr Chris Brookes, Dr Sak Taggart-Jeewa, Dr Devika Jayawardent, Dr Mona Mohammed, as well as two nurses, Monique and Dawn.
The practice offers local residents access to allied health services and experienced doctors and nurses, all 100% bulk-billed.
Mr Dutton congratulated the team and wished their practice the very best success.
“The practice is a great service in our local community and I am sure the practice will thrive in our growing community,” Mr Dutton said.
Mr Dutton reiterated the importance of supporting our local GP’s and medical centres.
“They are a vital part of our community and provide much-needed services to our residents.
“It is great to have another medical centre in Dickson,” Mr Dutton said.
The practice is located in the complex on Gympie Road alongside other long-term local small businesses.
“The practice will also increase traffic flow into the complex, where small business has been struggling due to the closure of the AJ Wyllie Bridge.
This will hopefully assist our small businesses,” Mr Dutton added.
